Yes, once or twice I decided it wasn’t worth finding a signed credit card receipt from months ago, buried in storage somewhere, and decided to just ignore it. There’s a gas near me that uses a different name when they charge credit cards than what their sign says. It’s gotten to the point that when I see someone stomping in, credit card statement in hand, before they even start talking I’ll say “Does it say [my store name/city] or [gas station name/neighboring city]”. It’s funny how quickly they go ‘ooooh, that makes a lot more sense’.
