I thought the oldest Boomers were only 60 or 61?
Not very many of them are retiring yet, but many are moving to moderate and low risk investments already.

They’re retiring already, believe me, I know some.
Harry Dent has written a few books on this and he says the market goes up until 2010, then goes down for 15 years. I think he’s right. He’s done very well in the past. Here’s a link to his most recent book. Take a look at the reviews:
BTW, I’ve pretty much had all my savings and retirement money in US stocks because of Dent and I’m very happy to have followed his advice. I’m in no hurry to make any changes but I’d say there’s a good chance I sell half in 2009 and half in 2010.
You think CHINA is going to benefit from OUR demographic problems? Guess again!
China’s demographics are much more out of whack than ours. Their huge population skews very old, and before long, they’re going to have a sea of senior citizens and nowhere near enough young people to support them (all those years of a one-child only policy have had consequences).
I don’t know about this. What if you sell and the market goes up 20%? My plan is to buy and hold now, and if it tanks, buy a heck of a lot more. Sadly, no one can pridict the market, this includes Mr. Dent.
Well if that happens, then I guess I’d be pretty sad, but I’ve made so much by following his advice I’d still be ahead .
I think Dent has done pretty well lately. As Yogi Berra says, You could look it up.
