\*\*Spidey \*\*- I got a nasty case of poison ivy one year when I was planting in the late fall. All the leaves had died off, and I was yanking out roots to plant some bulbs for the spring. I didn’t know the roots were poison ivy and tho I was wearing gloves, I scratched my cheek and my neck and my arms… Went to the doc about the horrible rash - she knew what it was right off. Ugh - it was awful… No mail today. No motivation either. I’ve written a few email and played a few games. I have one more email to write, then I need to think about supper. I’m pretty sure it will involve some of the amazing ‘maters I’ve been harvesting. I’ll also be reading the recipes for tomorrow’s jammin’ - to make sure I’ve got everything I need. Mostly, I’m going to veg the night away. ---

Well, I finally heard from **FCD** , so I can stop worrying. I’ve had a mediocre supper, and now I’m going to watch some TV till I feel really draggy, then I’m popping a melatonin and crashing. Taz just might spend the night tied up in a pillowcase and tossed in the garage… stoopit cat. ---

Hrmph. Air conditioner guy cleaned the inside coils, checked the amount of magic stuff, and said it’s good now. Well, as good as it will ever be. If I want that room upstairs to be cool, I’ll need to buy a window unit as the central system is just not quite big enough. Had some fun n’ games over the weekend at some friends’ house. Their DSL provider wanted $175 to run a new phone extension so the DSL thing could be somewhere sensible like their office, rather than the dining room. :dubious: I ran a new line using a leftover chunk of cable that I had in the garage, saving them about $170. Charging $175 for one jack and four feet of wire is even beyond AT&T’s usual level of robbery. Remind me never to do business with anyone whose name includes wind and/or stream… ---

Howdy Y’all! Home from men’s night at the church house. ‘Twas great as usual. I deheathenate with a good bunch of folk. F’rinstance, I did the prep and set up stuff tonight, as in, washed the **N.O.T.** , got ‘em in the convection oven to bake, put the sausages on to cook (they’re the traditional appetizer), put out plates, bowls, flat ware, napkins, sallit dressin’, made the sallit, set up tables and chairs, lit the grill and all that there stuff. After we ate, others commenced to take down tables, put away chairs, put up stuff like sallit dressin’ and butter, clean the grill, load the dishwasher and in general make sure the place was presentable all on their own. No, we need this and that done. It just got done. Like I said, a good bunch of folk. **Wiki and MOOOOOOM** be jammin’! 😃 **gotti** the original a/c unit for da cave was not big enough to sufficiently cool even though it’s all one level. I don’t know enough about this stuff so I had no idea until I called a different heatin’ and air company when I kept havin’ heatin’ and coolin’ problems and was told the problem. I checked it out with a couple of other places and sure enough they all said the same thing. Thus, I had a new heat pump thingy installed and except for that doohickey that acted up Sattidy have never had a coolin’ or heatin’ problem since. Oh well, at least I know to ask about such things if the need ever arises again. Live and learn, I guess. **Spidey** hope the itchies go away soon. **Ruble** Steve Martin’s King Tut is funnier. I’m gonna continue last week’s theme & ask the MMP if there are any _real_ ways to dry this stuff out to prevent it from spreading? I’m more concerned with drying out than itch reduction. I was trolling the interwebz for some solutions & I really believe some people are putting stuff out there just to see if any idiot will try it. Fer instance, I think WhiteOut kinda \*looks \*like calamine lotion but that doesn’t mean I’m putting it on my skin with any expectation that it’ll correct my ‘mistake’ of cutting some low hanging vines down. Nor do I think that “…_poor some on affected area and on the scrubbie then scrub the crap out of the affected area until it burns then poor more on it_…” is a good idea either. ---

We had Virginia Creeper last year, and there is a cream from Kroger. I think it was hydrocortizone. It worked as long as it was on me and still goopy. I kept a tube at work to anoint myself. ---

This is a catch 22. I’m really tired and need to go to bed but I’m also feeling like if I stand up that the ground is going to leap up and try to get me. Maybe I’ll just sleep on the couch. It’s been a very stressful day today, much moreso than usual. I’m glad it’s almost over and I’m also glad that it’s almost VACATION!!! :D:D:D ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. _YAWN_ 'Tis 77 degrees Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 91 and allegedly rain this afternoon and tonight. We shall see. Lately the weather PTB tend to lie to me re rain. :dubious: **Wiki** be done jammin’! Or spot cleanin’ the carpet. I am really confused about this. 😃 **Spidey** I haven’t had poison anything in years but AIR the treatment of choice was always [calamine lotion](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calamine). Looks icky but always seemed to be effective. Now I need some more caffiene and should consider brekkie as rumbly tummy is suddenly demandin’ to be fed. Yesterday a coworker was all stressed out and someone told him “you’re looking at things from the wrong angle.” “Oh yeah?” “Yep. _points at the date we’re in, on the wall calendar. At irk and crabby. Today’s high is predicted to be 100. That’s right, triple digits. A HUNNERT! I’m so f’in sick of this. If I didn’t have an animal that lived outside I wouldn’t care. But my life consists of going to irk for 8 hours, going to the barn and sitting outside where it is A HUNNERT for 3 hours, then going home, showering, eating and going to bed. I’ve been doing this every day for the last 3 weeks. I’m going to lose my mind.
