First it was going to be released in the theaters back in September, then it was going straight to DVD in October, now it is in release limbo, with a supposed DVD release next fucking June, but I am now skeptical that it will make that. All this despite being shown at several film festivals over the past summer. ---

Depending on the title (not [this](http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fantastic-Night-Fernand-Gravey/dp/6305760861/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1196307984&sr=8-1) one, frinstance, which I’m trying to talk myself out of buying), it can be pretty reasonable. Shipping is not outlandish and I tend to get them pretty quickly. ---

_Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains_ remains at the top of my list, along with a box set of _Max Headroom_. I understand why LAGTFS might not make the DVD cut but one would think that MH would have been a no-brainer. I’d also like to have a box set of Matt Frewer’s sitcom, _Doctor, Doctor_. All of the as-yet unreleased episodes of MST3K. A _complete_ set of _The Tick_ and not these “we can’t clear the rights to one episode per season” bullshit sets that are coming out. The late, lamented _Wolf Lake_ and _John Doe_. ---

Disney has [this list](http://disneydvd.disney.go.com/moviefinder/titlesaz/index.html) of all their movies, and in the [Q-S section](http://disneydvd.disney.go.com/moviefinder/titlesaz/q-s.html), they have [**Song of the South**](http://disneydvd.disney.go.com/moviefinder/products/Song%20Of%20The%20South.html) listed. Now, see that bit on the left that says, " Not currently for sale; If you would like Disney to release this title on DVD, click here to let us know"? Click there, and a window will open up that lets you send an email. However, look at what’s listed under “title request” in this new window. “Null”. If you do the same thing with any other movie on the list, the title of the movie will fill in. The subtle message being, “we don’t want to hear about anyone wanting **Song of the South**.” ---
