[This DVD I’d like to order](http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/stores/detail/-/dvd/B00006L9WL/tech-info/ref=ed_tec_dp/026-8399340-3428401) is given a technical classification of region 0. [Amazon details here what regions 1-6 pertain to,](http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/3193231/102-5046376-8834532) but they don’t mention a region 0. The DVD is available only on Amazon’s UK site, but I’m still not sure if this means it will play on an American DVD player or not.

[Hope this helps.](http://www.townsend-records.co.uk/sections/dvd.htm)

It appears that a region 0 DVD will play on any player.

As far as the region code goes, yes.

If your DVD player does not have a PAL-to-NTSC converter or your TV cannot accept the PAL signal, then the answer is no.
