So far, he hasn’t even conceded the loss, so I doubt he’ll attend the inauguration. (Although if he does, it might be amusing to have one camera stay on his face the whole time.) And how soon does Melania file for divorce? ---

Going by that list, then, it would seem that even the one-termers, including Ford, Carter, and Bush, have attended the inauguration. That said, I doubt Trump will be one of them. FWIW, I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to hear Trump speak (or even tweet) more than now. But only to the extent that I hold out some naive hope that he might acknowledge his loss and at least implicitly dissuade the fringe element from doing anything criminal. ---

He absolutely will not attend. I think the most likely scenario is that he will leave Washington beforehand for Mar-a-Lago (although Moscow is a distinct possibility). There is a possibility he will be holed up in the White House until the Secret Service is called on to escort him out, but I think his family and maybe administration members will be able to lure him out with cheeseburgers before that occurs. ---

Biden is bending over backward to be decorous, presidential, and a unifier - so if Trump were by some miracle to attend and behave himself, I think Biden would welcome the opportunity to demonstrate bipartisan graciousness. Alas, I’m quite sure Trump doesn’t have it in him. We shall see. ---
