No, not formally. Even if we assume he’s still in the land of the living, and not suffering from complete dementia, in 2028, I think that the constitutional and legal barriers to attempting to run for a third term are too great. I would not be at all surprised if he tries to somehow hold onto power anyway, though I’m not going to speculate on _how_, and I hope against hope that he would fail at that. ---

I think he will try, and will be foiled early by court orders preventing him. He will then rant about biased and conflicted judges. ---

Successfully, no. But that is mostly an aspirational hope. It depends on people actually stopping him, which has been in short supply these past few years. ---

He will try. And at least some judges will say that there’s no way they can stop him, and it has to be left up to the voters to figure out how to count to three. ---

He’ll only dangle the possibility as a way to fleece the idiots for the funds needed to sue each state to put him on the ballot or amend the Constitution. Only a portion of the funds raised will be put to that purpose. ---

I’ll go with no. My reasoning is that the situation with Iran will get a lot worse, a lot sooner than expected. Trump will be blamed for screwing that up, and that’ll be that.
