Sue, I agree 150%! A pox on those who change their names! However, in case I ever get tired of people assuming I picked this name because I’m a fan of [The Great Kat](http://www.greatkat.com/) (which, since no one ever has, I _assume_ won’t be a problem), I’d like to reserve Omega Dog. Not just because it’s, like, the opposite of Great Kat (sort of, use your imagination), but because that’s my position in the family. **Joel** is supposed to be Alpha dog. Peaches accepts Joel as Alpha dog and competes with Jimmy to be Beta dog. Jimmy isn’t so sure Joel is Alpha dog and I don’t think he takes Peaches’ challenges seriously (she’s only about 1/5th his size so her attempts to mount him are easily shrugged off). And I’m just the one who scratches backs and throws the balls that no one retrieves. The cats get more respect than I do. Woof. ---

It is true. I started out as Mr. Cynical, but grew tired of the association of my screen name with wanton lust, and made the change to Portnoy. I agree. I have taken to staying at my boyfriend’s for the weekends, so when I get back it’s hard to get back on the boards.
