You said “no real choice” at post #31, I pointed out that there is some ability to make a difference at post #32, at post #33 you had another go at the “nothing makes any difference, I’m so cool for pointing this out” then Bryan pointed out (again) that your position doesn’t bear scrutiny and at #38 you are saying out that stunted progress does not equal no progress, which, whaddayaknow, is what I said in the first place.

Every response is someone not taking account of what I’ve already said. The kinds of progress that occur in humanity have nothing to do with voting or anything considered part of the charade we call democracy. Making a difference requires that some behavior such as voting, getting involved, leading, ect ect changes something other than whether we exploit this group more or that group more.The progress I mentioned happens despite all the BS that goes on to ensure that power is not threatened. Working on art or music may advance cultural progress, working on scientific theory and application ect. But ya regardless if people can’t see the forest for the trees, can’t understand what they read.. you know really.. ya.

No society of any scale in human history has ever done anything but exploit the vast majority for the benefit of the wealthy minority while at the same time being at the expense of human scientific, cultural and economic progress for the sake of maintaining the hierarchy. That is an entire term study of government. I wish it weren’t true but it is. look how cool I am for knowing it.

There is no reason except according Marxist class-warfare ideologues why all the socioeconomic classes can’t work together and don’t forget capitalism has been how most of the technical innovations of the last century have been introuduced.

Don’t kid yourself I’m not reading or understanding. Actually it’s just that what you are saying I find unconvincing, not to mention illogical.

Let me hit you up with a clue by four: if I say “some things are X” then you say “everything is not X” but then you eventually agree that actually “some things are X” then your initial statement was wrong and mine was right. You saying “some things are not X” in an attempt to save face does not get you there, sorry.

To put that into english, I said at the outset that some things change. You then said I was wrong because nothing changes. Then it was pointed out to you by myself and another poster that actually things do change and you accepted this, so I was right and you were wrong.

Now saying “some things that threaten power don’t change” doesn’t alter the fact that your intial blanket statement was wrong. Get over it and move on.

I understand it fine, a person can be a threadshitter, a threadshit is a post not a person, saying a person is a threadshit I think has a different implied meaning that one can find by dissecting the word. Also the whole post is not contributing to the discussion, its just an attack on me in any case of interpretation. Which is fine, attack me if want, just find it funny since I get mod rebuked for saying things like “People that go to business school are greedier in general than people who didn’t.”.
