If she goes for big bucks in the divorce courts, Paul might end up losing an arm and a leg, and finally be able to empathise with her disability. ---

The headlines are bleating “McCartney stands to lose quarter of fortune” now. So what? It’s a huge hit, but he’ll still have a billion left or something. One thing I’ve always liked about Paul was that he was the eternal optimist. It’s sad that the bubble has been burst. He’s a '60s kind of guy in a New Millennium kind of world. That said, I don’t think she’s going to stick it to him financially. She seems, to me anyway, like a pretty straight shooter. (Though divorce can do strange and ugly things to people.) ---

Lord, the ads are for Linda McCartney ringtones! I didn’t know that Sir Paul and Heather had spawned. Oh, deary me. I also don’t buy the medie story–this is a guy who is rabid about his privacy, waaaay up there in Scotland somewhere (isn’t he?). I know he’s a legend and all, but something tells me the hords have dried up just a wee, and he is not hounded into running through train stations, now. Plus, he has the money to buy privacy and security. Paul, while incredibly talented/possible genuis, was my least favorite Beatle. Just a comment. As to us getting our nose out of their business–it’s published information. We are not to discuss events of celebrities? Dia knows I hate the paparozzi (sp?), and the press can be intrusive, but a divorce decree is public. We’re not wondering what kind of undies the two of them wear. :rolleyes: ---

Well, yeah, his latest efforts have sucked, but I still wouldn’t call him a “has been”. As for baby Beatrice, I wouldn’t worry about her-say what you will about Paul, he’s always been a devoted dad, by most accounts. ---
