Today’s Classic Peanuts strip in my local paper is a Veterans’ Day strip from 1998 with Bill Mauldin’s Willie and Joe appearing alongside Snoopy. Is this the only time adults have appeared on-panel in a Peanuts strip? ---

An adult’s \*hand \*appeared in an early Peanuts (Charlie Brown at a sales counter in a store), but otherwise, I’m pretty sure yes. ---

Today’s “Classic _Peanuts_” (at least in the local newspaper) features an interesting example – a clearly adult doctor “drawn” by Linus, similar to the way little Billy occasionally takes “pun in hand” for _Family Circus_ panels. It’s on line (for a few more hours, anyway) [here](http://www.peanuts.com/). ---
