Keiko, the star of Free Willy, [died](http://msnbc.msn.com/id/3700297/) of pneumonia at 27. I don’t quite know why but this has exceedingly bummed me out this early a.m. A rather sad MeanJoe. ---

What? This doesn’t sit right at all, why haven’t I heard something about this? I’m sure the damned Norwegians are plotting someting and it’s probably some evil scheme to invade our fishing grounds. UselessGit is on the case… ---

To be honest, he would have probably lived longer if he had remained in captivity in a modern oceanic facility where he would have had medical care and plenty of food. By the time he was released, he was probably too tame to make it in the wild. I hope the freedom of the open sea for a few years was worth the struggle to survive. I sure most people would argue it was. ---
