I upgraded to IE 5.5 today-msn told me I had to. Now, I had my internet setting so that I had to be inactive for 24 hours before it would kick me off. I was never on that long, but just in case, ya know?

Now I cannot find the settings for that anywhere. I want to reset the automatic disconnect time, because with the upgrade it’s been reset to 10 minutes or something highly annoying like that.

I’ve searched help topics, I tried a search here, but if it’s been asked, I’m using the wrong words to search. Is there anyone out there who can help me fix this?

Nope-right clicking doesn’t bring up the properties box.

I also went to File, then properties, and got nothing.
dang silly computers.

you can just run any program which will periodically do something. I usually have the email program which checks for email every few minutes. ICQ does the same. Or just get one of those pinging programs

You can also go back to IE 5.0. Goto the control panels and open the add/remove softare tab. Highlight the IE 5.5 and click add/remove. At that point it will ask you if you’d like to restore the previous version.

MSN can’t, as far as I know, tell you which version to use. Using the 5.0 version should be just fine.
\*\* I don’t use MSN, so take it for what it’s worth or wait for someone to either corroborate or debunk my notion.
