# Windows XP Geforce drivers, uninstalling/updating.

On the nvidia website it suggests I need to uninstall my old nvidia drivers before installing newer ones.

Last time I did this was a disaster. Without graphics drivers windows either wouldn’t start or would put the drivers right back without my say so.

So what should I do to get the newest Geforce Unified drivers onto my system? I tried just installing over the top of the older version but after doing this the old drivers are still there.
