# Windows XP security update - can't connect to internet

I just installed the XP security updates released today on two of my three PCs, and now they’re unable to connect to the internet. Is anyone else having problems?

Good grief, Microsoft’s update site is getting slammed. I’m having a hard time getting it to come up to see what patches you’re talking about here…

Mmm.

Do you know which updates you downloaded? I currently see five out there that I don’t have, and I was current as of this past weekend.

Are you able to uninstall any of those updates? Do you have a restore point you can go back to?

Also, what exactly do you mean by ‘can’t connect’?

And since I haven’t installed those patches yet, I haven’t had any problems, so I’m interested to see if anyone else chimes in with problems before getting those patches.

I do believe you can use Add\Remove Program in Control Panel to uninstall the MS Updates. If not then the System Restore might work too, don’t know for sure whether it works on the Updates. What sort of connection to the Internet do you have? All the Critical Updates I have installed never messed things up on my machines.
