At a guess I would say yes. Visual Studio is capable of running on Windows NT with Service Pack 4 or later installed. If it can do that then it should probably be ok to run on XP. However, that is just a guess so don’t kill me if I’m wrong (I have run into software that ran on NT but did not run on XP so this isn’t a hard and fast rule). ---

I have an XP question, so I’ll post it here instead of starting a new thread. In Windows Explorer (not IE), I want to associate all my digital pictures with the IrfanView program. IrfanView has automatically set itself up as the application to handle an “open” event for these files (JPGs). However, if you double-click a JPG file in Explorer, it doesn’t do an “open,” but does a “preview,” which is associated with the built-in image viewer program, which is a POS. To get a .JPG file to open with IrfanView from Explorer, I have to right-click it and choose open (the default is preview). If I look in the File Types list under the Options menu, preview is not listed as a choice for .JPG files. How can I get IrfanView to launch with an Explorer double-click?
