In my thread about what’s commonly accepted by industry pros but not widely known by the public, it came up that most wine makers regard screwtops as vastly superior to corks but were unable to use them due to public perception.
Yep. Corks fail up to 10% of the time! Screwtops don’t. But, sadly, no romance from a screwtop.
Very true. Times are slowly changing though.
I think the public can expect to see not only more screw caps on higher end wines, but much more publicity and consumer education.
