Lucky me, I get to work the 26th, 27th and 28th. But there won’t be many people there (or bosses) so I can drag my ass in a little late!
Not correct. The earliest sunset in the middle latitudes is in early December, and the latest sunrise is in early January, but the shortest day is the day of the solstice.
Unless, of course, we make a giant chicken effigy, shove it on a stick, burn it ritually, and dance nekkid around it

Well, the site I went to (http://aa.usno.navy.mil/cgi-bin/aa_rstablew.pl) gives sunrise and sunsets times that calculate out to 9 hrs 50 min of daylight from 12/16 thru 12/26. It gives the times down to the minute, not second, so I guess the 23 thru 26 are fractional minutes longer than the 22, but I thought it was close enough for MPSIMS (but certainly not GQ).
I guess I should correct my post to “…the days will not become a full minute longer until the 27th”
