One semi-obvious aspect: a crap-ton of snow in a place that’s used to a lot of snow (ie, they have processes, procedures, staffing, know-how, and machinery) is often nowhere near as bad as not-so-much snow in a place that rarely gets any.

Good luck, All !

I have been hearing about the almost constant inability to procure distilled water and just looked up how to make it. It looks fairly simple and doesn’t require any special equipment, perhaps that’s something you might want to consider?

Right now it is looking like 12". But the temperature is only -4 C (23 F) and things seem fairly normal. I didn’t expect the Times to be delivered since it is trucked up from Boston, but it was and even close to normal delivery time.

This is the first time I haven’t been able to buy distilled water; even before previous storm events (whether rain or snow) while people were clearing the shelves of bread, milk and other items there always seemed to be distilled water available. So trying to make my own was never something I’d considered.

I understand. I like to keep up with the shortages thread in the Q Zone, and that is were I usually see it. Yours was the comment that triggered me to look it up so of course I had to share the results!
