I think it is pretty well covered already. But I will chime in that if ever you have thinner wire fence (think chicken wire or wire mesh), it was recommended many years ago to just put an old saw blade into a circular saw backwards. I have done this many times (even when cutting tin roof panels for a chicken coop and a tree house) with great success! Nice clean line and super fast! [but the loudest thing known to man when trimming roof panels]
If you ever have to cut the thicker hog or cattle wire panels, a sawzall with metal blade will make quick work of it.
I used the fence pliers Friday and Saturday. They were much easier to use than my 2-foot bolt cutters! I still had trouble sometimes getting the wire into the slot, but other times it went in as if it were guided there.
The next section of fence is going to be more problematic. Over the years, debris has been dumped on the house side of it. Not it’s holding up ‘new yard’. I’ll probably have to use the long-handled dikes I got at the same time as the fence pliers. I hope I don’t get buried by debris.
