I had a great deal of difficulty getting my wireless router to work. I stayed on the phone with LinkSys until they found the problem. In my case it turned out the “firmware” in the router was a little old and would not recognize my laptop. They sent new firmware, I loaded it and all is well in wireless world now.
Have you run the Linksys connection router setup and diagnostic CD on each of the notebooks? Note this is not the driver setup software for the wireless units themsleves. This is the install and setup CD that comes with the wireless router.
The connection diagnostic that the setup procedure performs can solve of lot of connection issues.
I’m finally an official member again so I can post (and search for this thread, which I lost). Thanks for the last few suggestions, everyone. Tonight I’m going to try and see if any of these work. Will keep you posted as I struggle through my computer illiteracy.
