# Wireless networking under Linux -- Who has done it?

I like to consider myself something of a hotshot in Linux, but I’m having a bit of trouble configuring my wireless NIC. First off, it works fine under windows, so I know there’s no hardware problem. I have WEP disabled, so I know it’s not that.

Here’s the thing:

I upgraded my pcmcia-cs to version 3.2.1, and compiled and installed the linux-wlan-ng-0.1.15 prism-2 driver. The card doesn’t load automatically when inserted or when pcmcia starts up, but it will load if I modprobe the prism2sta\_cs module then reinsert the card.

Also, even though it’s recognized and powered up, I can’t get it configured so it will connect to my network.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
