And I always thought that song went “You say it’s your birthday”, not “Today is your birthday”, so ignorance fought. ---

Its sucky to have your birthday forgotten by the one person who supposed to remember and acknowledge it. I know how you feel. “I’m not some spoiled brat or a kid who needs balloons, but a happy birthday would have told me you noticed you cared, especially since I’m always cleaning up your messes.” Not sure what your situation is otherwise, but maybe you should get out, the woman is not an adult. _lifts glass_ here’s to a happy birthday, and that next year this time you look back and feel so much better about where you are. ---
