I can’t complete the Witcher 2 tutorial, because of what appears to be a bug. The bug occurs during the riposte explanation. I hold the e button to parry as instructed, but the “sword and circle” icon never changes, indicating it’s time to push the left mouse button to perform the riposte. If i attack immediately after the opponent swings, I do what appears to be a riposte (but I can’t be certain) because Geralt does a quick sort of counterattack thing. But it never says I successfully performed the riposte. There is no way to skip this particular task in the tutorial.

Am I missing something?

I just went through that problem. It would never give me the “Reposte now” icon. Then I figured out if you put the sword away and redraw it, the Icon will appear in the first few seconds if the conditions are right. So I just kept sheathing and redrawing my sword till I got it.
