It’s often said that any statement starting “With all due respect” is going to be offensive and disrespectful. Likewise, “I’m not racist/homophobic/etc, but…” is always going to be racist/homophobic/etc. Well I say that’s sloppy logic! Let’s catalogue the vast, vast amount of statements where that’s not true! I’m not racist, but cake is delicious! I’m not a homophobe, but calculus is hard! With all due respect, you deserved that Nobel Prize, sir! ---
