# With the SDMB going pay, will the mods receive some stipend for all their hard work?

Now that’s the board is going commercial, will the mods receive some sort of monetary stipend for all their hard work?

Actually, with change to a businesslike model the reverse is true.  
In a marketplace, the law of supply and demand would kick in.  
So many more people wanting to be mods than positions means the people should compete for the positions.

If the business model were going to rule, the mod positions would go to the highest bidders. 😃
