While writing poetry is easy, excessive rhyming makes me queasy. The clunky, choppy type of verse Is often trite, stupid, or worse. So maybe we should all try silence Before our poems bring on violence. ---

I lied, at that; it’s not as hard as I thought, Since such a thread as this is something I’ve greatly sought. The 'Boards, of late, while entertaining for sure, was, with bridge-dwellers and deaths, something of a blur. But, enough technical prattle; I’m all done with that; It’s the Fourth of July today, it’s not a time of rant. With the possible exception of this ‘Pops Goes the Fourth’ concert; From A&E to CBS, just like that – for them, it must hurt. Although, I see, A&E’s all but lost. Brian Wilson is on; how much did _he_ cost? Whatever the amount, I’m sure it’s quite high. (No pun was intended – ‘Bulls\*\*t!’, you cry) ---
