I challenge your proposal Gornsak, the mere suggestion is out of whack. In fact it displays your personal lack, of couplet skills and scansion knack. This board boasts masters of rythm and verse, hope they stop by soon, before the ryhming gets worse. I hope one of these kings of meter anf rhyme, will find that they can spare the time, to drop by to this humble thread, and fast before somone kills it dead. ---

Enough about fireworks, no more Fourth The Fifth is here! A brand new day! Into the new we’ll sally forth\* And in the future we will stay. The boards are quick, that’s some good news The weekend’s here, which speeds it up. No weekday folks to sing the blues Today they drink from Freedom’s cup. The noble few who post from home (Tho’ ‘noble’ may not be the word) Will fill this electronic tome To fill the void they shall be spurred. Me? I’m sitting here today My normal perch beneath my butt I haven’t anything to say Which keeps me equal with YOU nuts. Not gravy shall my topic be Nor fireworks; nor clever puns I’ll just keep typing and we’ll see Who jams my giant rhyming guns. I’m sure the scantion’s not the best. The plurals sometimes trip me up. While most of this can pass the test Two stanzas higher I hiccup. I’ll finish now. This poem’s long The double rhyming makes me sick. Don’t worry; I’ll be back along And bust out in some limerick. 😃 😃 😃 ---
