I saw the most disturbing thing tonight. You guys on the West Coast can still catch it all (right after _ABC’s Millionaire_). I mentioned in another thread a few days ago that perhaps there should be mandatory parent licensing or even permits. On July 12, 2001, _ABC’s Primetime Thursday_ just reinforced that impression even more. Watch this program if you can. It will make your skin crawl. This is in the pit because I think I’m going to puke. ---

Of the real show… I saw this and just had to flame, and give the West Coast guys a heads-up to watch. I was in a bit of a hurry. If the link doesn’t do it, I think ABC sells tapes and transcripts of its shows. ---

I saw it too… Here’s the short story. Woman adopts two twin boys as infants, raises them, at about 12 years old she asks ABC to bring in some cameras to document her childrens’ behavior problems… videos full of the boys acting up, getting screamed at, etc… boys go away to a therapy shelter for about a year, come back completely changed, on medication, trying much harder than before. Now the videos show the mother constantly harrassing them, beating them, cursing at them, ordering them around, etc etc etc. You really need to have seen the show to grasp the full horror of this situation. One of the boys threatened to kill himself, and the mother told him to go ahead, but to make sure to say goodbye to her boyfriend, since HE was the one that loved him. Needless to say, she had stopped medicating them as well, because she “ran out of money…” Sick, sick sick. The boys are now in state sponsored custody. ---
