I apologize if it has been addressed…but I understand that you, dougie, have gone door to door and witnessed. How many time have you been successful, and made a convert? Just as a ballpark figure. How many people have been receptive to your message, and that you feel wanted you to come to their door? I don’t mean people who weren’t rude, or threatening, but actually welcomed you with sincerity? ---

Being Jewish, and I hope you’ll agree we get to claim historic persecution, one thing we have learned over the ages is to take ourselves with some humor. All religions appear wacky from the outside looking in. And many of us Jews distance ourselves and renounce the unacceptable behavior of our most orthodox adherents, while still enjoying being part of the religion. You’d be wise to learn to include some of these traits yourselves. ---

To Trinopus (re “Quiznos”): You deserve the palm for the most boorish remark. To Simster _Quote:_ If dougie\_monty actually reads them - I doubt he does it with anything other than disdain, and since his history on this board and in this thread shows his reading comprehension to be that of about a 3rd grader\*, it’s doubtful he even knows what that means. \*I won’t waste my time on libelous statements—if you get my drift. Nobody tells me what to read. To Trinopus, again: If I should care to ‘know what evolution’ is, I would refer to what I consider the most authoritative source, the _Oxford English Dictionary._ To Simster again: You quote sources? (Post number or date, please.) Disfellowshiping offense? I don’t know what your motive is, but I will take the chance. To Raventhief: No, I never succeeded at that. I have a long history of social failure. Others who have gone door-to-door with me have been successful; I have not. If some of the people posting in this thread are as smart as they act, they would consider my personal situation, which has included severe disruptions—including schizophrenia (diagnosed by at least four psychiatrists over a period of more than twenty years). To Mangetout: Somehow, from what you posted, it seems to me that interruption is taken for granted as a medium of conversation these days. As a child, I was taught not to do this. Get a fucking clue already. As for my sources, etc - its in this very thread - if you had any reading comprehension, you’d know it already - you avoided it when I posted it before, I’m not bothering with you on it again. ---

Shoving the insults aside (and such puerile insults they are), I can say, NOW YOU’RE TALKING!! 🙂 I do research with all kinds of sources, and I was doing so long before there was the Internet. I’ve spent hours on end in libraries, including law libraries. I will be glad to scan this thread for the references you mention, wherever they may be in the thread. I only regret you did not give me post number or date. But that’s no skin off my nose. 🙂 Oh, a **directed** insult. I see.
