# witnessing

I have been wondering, what is the definition of the term “witnessing,” as used in the discription of “Great Debates?” 😕

It means to testify or proselytize.

You might want to ask a mod to move it.
As for what witnessing is, I believe **Aesiron** is correct, testifying or proselytizing your religious beliefs.

Jesus was telling His disciples to do this-n-that, and by doing so they would become His WITNESSES. Therefore, to testify or proselytize or whatever is called “witnessing.”

So moved. Since this thread is not witnessing, but is asking a General Question about what witnessing _is_, it’s OK for General Questions forum.
