In [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=219643), **cainxinth** asked for examples of phrases derived from foreign languages. So, _qua_, from the adverbial ablative feminine of _qui_, ‘who’, means “in the capacity of”. As examples, **Coldfire** _qua_ poster thinks that **Reeder** is a buffoon. **Coldfire** _qua_ moderator is obliged to execute board rules without bias. ---
