I couldn’t create a better headline so I just borrowed the one from the article. Maybe I’m becoming a true-crime fan because these headlines just catch my eye. The world is full of weird stuff you might never hear about ordinarily-like a nautilus of news, if that makes sense. NBC doesn’t like my ad-blocker. Screw them. Was the woman released on early parole, finished her sentence, or was it decided this was a wrongful conviction and she was released for that reason? or something else I didn’t think of. ---

Arrested in 2017 & in custody for 7 years, served 17 months add’l or approx 8½ years of a 12 year sentence so seems like normal time off for good behavior to me. ---

Considering how frequently and mercilessly people were hanged once upon a time for murder, it’s astonishing today the relatively light sentences one can get for bumping someone off.
