Maybe it’s just me, but it’s not fur babies that I have a problem with, it’s fur baby juxtaposed with flesh baby. A flesh baby seems to be offspring made of one’s flesh, right? So the implication is a fur baby would be a baby made from one’s fur. People aren’t particularly furry… No one likes the idea of pets made out of pubic hair.
