Didn’t see a thread about this, though it happened several days ago. [Halima Cissé had been expecting a brood of seven](https://www.npr.org/2021/05/06/994244064/nonuplets-woman-from-mali-gives-birth-to-9-babies), but two of them were hiding from the ultrasound. To me, they seem like a litter of puppies or kittens.

It will be interesting to see if these pregnancies were the result of fertility treatments are were completely natural.

She knocks Octo-mom off the pedestal for the world record for the largest multiple birth.

All nine of the Australian babies died; IIRC the longest lived about a week, and that one weighed less than a pound.

I thought this story had to be fake until I saw pictures, and multiple news stories. One wonders what the whole story is on this.
