Traditionally, _slut_, _tramp_, and so forth have been used as slurs against women, not men, because in Anglophone culture it has been not been acceptable for women to have multiple sexual partners, while the same is true of women. Pretending that such is not true is seems silly to me. If I had started a thread entitled “Black people: do you ever call other black folks ‘nigger’?” would that have bothered you? After all, there are urban white youths who call one another that.
