I think there’s always a “sex would be nice” vibe running through the back of my mind but yeah, sometimes there’s a klaxon in my [del]pants[/del] head blaring “ **SEX! NOW!** ” Definitely hornier when ovulating. Obviously not horny when pre-menstrual but I do get revved up during my period which is just weird. It’s always like, “As soon as this is over I’m _so_ getting laid!” Then it’s over and I’m back to thinking sex would be nice but it’s not necessary. Do you guys get horny for no reason? Sometimes I’ll be drafting a map and all the sudden I’m raring to go. Makes me wish I could sit my vag down and ask it questions like, “WTF dude, _we’re at work_ why are you excited?” ---

I get so horny the day before my period starts that if it’s not taken care of, I’ll have a sex dream that night and orgasm in my dream. If I’m not dating, or at least seeing someone, I’ll break out the dildos, vibrators, and some porn. I’ve also been told I’m not, um, representative. ---

I honestly think the “dude” thing comes from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the formative years. ---

My mom had filed, and spoke with her attorney. He asked which it was, sex or money. My mom said they were fighting a lot about money, and then she said - and I curse the day I heard this - “Sex? Oh it’s still great, he’s just being a total ASSHOLE when it comes to money!”:o In hindsight I almost want to know if my 50 and 60 year old parents were still sleeping together while they were (almost) getting divorced. Gross to the 10th degree, only barely beating out the time I found a bottle of Viagra in the pharmacy bag containing my strep throat antibiotic. :smack: So uh, I guess I’m genetically lucky. ---

Up to when I was 16 years old I was really innocent and awkward when it came to sex… But after falling into the trap (yes it’s a TRAP) of reading smut… My years of pent up sexual frustration exploded… almost literally. I found myself masturbating a lot, watching porn, reading smut, fantasizing… I was kind of out of control… I remember being so horny one day that I probably masturbated at least 5 times that day… It was all fun in games until I got into the dark hole of sexting. At first it was just calling random guys and us mutually masturbating… But then I found myself sending nudes… and videos of myself masturbating… And one day I just felt so ashaned and was like HEY CALM DOWN YOU HORNY ASSS WOMAN. I still masturbate and read smut, but I rarely watch porn and I stopped sexting. I find myself in a predicament though. I am currently in a long distance relationship and I won’t be seeing my boyfriend until next december… I feel so lusty towards him it’s unbelievable. I realize the OP is old, but how has anyone with any curiosity about the female sex drive made it to this site without perusing porn? Have you seen porn? Women will flash just about anything and stuff just about anything in there. ETA: do you really think those big, ridiculous massagers and technicolor vibrators inspire thoughts of romance? Female sexual dysfunction is often treated with testosterone. Too many articles and studies to pick from, but female+libido+testosterone pulls a few million results. Anecdotally, when I worked at a gym female body builders were notorious for having a high sex drive. ---
