Does anyone else feel this way sometimes? If so, what films do you recall bothered you?

Nope, doesn’t bother me at all. My very genteel Great-grandmother often said “Gentlemen don’t hit ladies, and ladies don’t hit.”

If she is trying to kick his butt, only a damn fool wouldn’t kick back.

I am almost always a lady, as well as being female.

Let’s not discuss the knockdown, drag-out, bloody nose, howling brawls I got into (as a child) with the herd of male cousins, which may have _possibly_ inspired her frequent repetition of the saying, m’kay?
