I always thought I was unusual in liking women who run. It is not why I run, but it is a bonus. (I am glad to know that I seem to pass SusanStoHelit’s creep filter. ) I’ve always thought it was because women having fun are sexy; athletic women are sexy, and the combination of the two is that much more so. (A woman running who is not enjoying herself is probably not sexy. I tend to only know runners who like to run.) But maybe there is something to the red cheeks, sweaty body, etc. theory. I did know a guy that loved to watch sprinters, because he thought it looked like they were close to an orgasm. ---

I used to date a guy who insisted on running with me for this reason. The upside of excersise is that it increases your sexual drive. So, for me at least, the more i run…the more willing i am. ---

My daughter and I recently started running together (OK walking and running we’re not as fit as we’d like) I’ll just walk out the front door and to the sidewalk and walk/jog but not my daughter. When we go out we have to drive a couple miles to a different neighborhood that has a nice running path through the woods because she doesn’t want to run on the street where she might be seen. :rolleyes: I have to agree that I like the path. No traffic except for other exercisers and it’s pretty. So, when I walk with hubby we walk in our neighborhood, when I jog with daughter we drive to the other side of the interstate to her friend’s neighborhood. Now, if I could just keep this up with any sort of consistancy maybe I’d lose some of this extra ass I’ve got hanging around. Anyway for those of you who find exercising women sexy, how do you feel about slightly out of shape women running/walking. Are we still sexy? Yes, ponytails and sweat are still part of the picture. **Anastasaeon** I think you’re cute but I know what it feels like to not be able to see what everyone else sees. Rest assured that we’re not all completely blind. ---

Hmm. This is sorta related, so I’ll bring it up because I find it interesting. I run every day, and I’ve noticed for years that a great number of people take a disconcerting interest in runners. I’m not talking about a casual glance, which would probably go unnoticed. I’m talking about slowing down so that they can leer properly; pulling over and loitering until I pass; or seeing the same car pass twice. I’m a guy. I look like one and dress like one, so I can’t for the world explain the freakish curiosity, mostly from other guys. I generally shrug it off and think that unless they plan to run me over, they aren’t much of a danger to me. But I would have to imagine that women would be seriously uneasy, and rightfully so.
