Concerning this question? Pfffffft! and that’s the best I have to offer. If you cant figure this out for yourself at your age? Which I’m sure is around the “thinking for oneself” years. Then saying you’re a slightly disconnected human being? Would be a vast understatement! Yes, it’s safe to say it’s probably YOU if every single female of this sexual preference you know does this. If you wanted us all to say or believe it could be something like: “Oh gosh it must be because you have such a stunning, powerful and gorgeous presence!!!” Then you’ve come to the wrong place. ---

I’m older, but have very little relationship experience. At times I have no idea what I’m getting myself into. I would say that is quite normal for people in my situation, no? ---

Yes, I’d say that explains a lot. Now you’ve given us more information which helps quite a bit. Sounds like you may, according to the reactions of your friends, be coming off a bit nervous and/or unaware of how to act considering your lack of experience. If that’s the case? Chill! Calm down a bit. Take some breaths and be yourself. No need to be the center of attention for anxieties sake and no need to be the creepy person who speaks 3 words the entire evening. When you act like yourself? You get in where you fit in eventually. If you find where you fit in? To be a questionable place? It’s time to look within. ---

Could be nothing, some people keep their partners separate from their friends, maybe the girlfriend is hanging out with her own friends during this time, or maybe people just don’t like you, we can’t really know these things, so be a good person and don’t worry about it. ---
