For those of you on the pill, do you keep it somewhere visible, to remind yourself to take it every day? Do you hide it from company? Ever lost a packet, or forgotten where it went? For those with other methods, what do you use and where do you store them? I’m on the pill, and I keep it on top of the microwave so I’ll see it every morning, and I’m close by something to take it with. Every morning with breakfast…I have a tendency to forget otherwise. I’ve tried it in my bedside drawer, my bathroom counter, in my purse, tacked up on my bulletin board…and I still have trouble remembering. ---

I keep it by my computer. I take it at night, because I’m such a zombie in the morning even putting it by the coffeepot doesn’t let me remember to take it and I always check email at some point in the evening. ---

Next to the soap dish by the bathroom sink. The first thing I do every morning is get up and go to the bathroom, so I see the packet, take out a pill, go back to my bed and take it with the water I keep on the nightstand. I’ve never lost a packet or anything, but I do keep it visible so I don’t forget. ---

I keep mine on my nightstand (actually, bookcase headboard) right next to my retainer. I have to put in my retainer every night and have to take a pill every night, so there I go. I don’t need to take it with water so that’s a plus. ---

I keep mine wedged between the multivitamin and ginko biloba bottles in the medicine cabinet. It’s bright purple, so it’s pretty difficult to miss. ---

I wear a retainer at night. At night, when I put my retainer in, I put the empty retainer case on top of my pack of pills on the sink. When I get up in the morning, I rinse out my retainers, put them in the case, take the day’s pill, and put both the retainer case and the pill case stacked together in the medicine cabinet. I take my pill every morning at 7:00 am (on the weekends, I sent the alarm, take it and go back to bed). ---

Yeah, I take the depo shot, so I assume I keep it somewhere in my ass. 🙂 However, when I took the pill I actually kept the little foil blister pack in my wallet. I didn’t use a purse back then, and the Mercette pills I used came in a nifty case that I hated, so I just took the blister pack out, which wasn’t that thick because the pills were tiny, and kept it in my wallet. It was my habit to get a soda at Nutrition break every day (this was while I was still in high school) and I’d have to take a dollar out of my wallet to do that, so it reminded me to take a pill with said soda. ~Tasha ---

The pills make me a crazy person once per month these days, and I’m really tired of the weird hormone-related mood swings. I’ve heard having the hormones go straight into your uterus keeps the brain from turning on the crazy switch as often. ---

When I was on the pill I kept mine in my purse, but I also kept a really cheap digital alarm watch in my purse that beeped at the prescribed time each day to remind me to take it. The system worked perfectly for 10 years. ---

Back when I used to take them, I kept the pill case on my night stand, right by my glasses so they were the first thing I saw in the morning. ---

I leave it up to my husband - we’re an old married couple who uses condoms. He keeps it in the second drawer of his nightstand to use “as needed”. ---

They tend to move. They’re currently sat on the coffee table. They were probably there when my parents visited this weekend. _shrug_ ---

Back in the days when I took birth control pills, I kept the packet of pills on my nightstand, right beside the case where I stored my eyeglasses when I retired for the night. When I got up each morning, I would put on my glasses and then take my pill. As far as I know, I never missed a pill in ten years. ---

Since my OB/GYN took me off the Pill four years ago, we’ve used spermicide. I keep it in my nightstand so it’s handy when the mood strikes. ---

I used to keep them in my purse, and had a note on the bathroom mirror to remind me to take them. I have Depo, now. Depo is my friend. 😉 ---
