Big plump lips have been a thing ever since Angelina Jolie and Lisa Rinna hit the scene. I never even thought that’s the reason someone would plump their limps. Plump lips are right up there with obviously fake tans as things women think men like but no man does. ---

It never occurred to me that they would actually \*feel \*better. They just look sexier, at least to me. My personal theory is that they appeal to the part of the brain that looks at, ahem, \*nether \*lips and assumes when they are puffy that the woman is fertile. Sort of a caveman, evolutionary, fetish-that-propogates-the-species kind of thing. ---

Never had the pleasure of a trout pout on my member. 😉 Seems logical bigger lips would be better. But I married a thin lipped WASP and don’t plan on ever leaving her. I’m not afraid to admit that I thought about Angelina Jolie’s oral abilities 15 years ago in _Lara Croft_. Almost impossible not to. ---

I thought puffy lips were supposed to be attractive because they indicated youth, vitality, and a healthy proportion of body fat. Honestly, the other thing had never occurred to me, and lips that look overly or artificially plumped up just look weird and bad to me anyways, IMHO. ---

This board has frank adult discussions about sex fairly often Just two weeks ago [there was a thread started by a woman on deep throating](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=623140&highlight=deep+throat). That’s what makes the SDMB so interesting. We’re discussing politics, crime, tv shows. There’s a nice blend of everything and that includes human sexuality. It’s one of the few places where we can have mature discussions without it degenerating into typical teen locker room talk.
