I contend (sans cite) that the male butt AROUSES women sexually. Makes them horny, randy, hot to trot, etc… This would link to SEX. Strong shoulders, good hair, having all your teeth; these attributes are ATTRACTIVE, but generally not AROUSING, even tough they are indicators of good health and youth.

If the sight of something stirs a women’s loins, I believe it flips a switch that has to do with intercourse.
