Oh my, I drove by a hairdresser today with a punny name that I wanted to post here but I can’t remember it, I think it had “Cutt” in it and referenced a rap song and I don’t want to drive that way again just to find it. ---

How about “Unbeweavable” for a hair salon in, I think, Gainsville, FL? There was a chiropractor named “Dr. Popwell” in Fernandina Beach, FL. These were from about 15 years ago so they may not exist anymore. ---

Reading about folks who share a name with someone else in the public eye reminds us that no matter how unusual a name is, someone else will have it as well. I got on Facebook with the intention of finding one person, my former drill sergeant from basic training. I knew she would not be impossibly older than me, and because I had never heard of anyone else with her surname I thought finding her would be easy peasy. Not so much, I found at least two other women with her given name and surname, and had to deduce, from pictures, which was the right one. I did find her though. ---

There’s one such in Ryde on the Isle of Wight, called The Codfather – motto, “We batter anything”. The outfit’s sign shows a codfish standing upright on his tail – cigar in mouth, and wearing a fedora hat and carrying a tommy-gun. ---

There’s a cheese shop here in Tacoma called Stink. There used to be a little bar in Seattle that was called Peter’s Inn. That’s what it said above the front door.
