# Woo hoo! Twilight Zone (1985) on DVD

I got the first season set of the second version of the Twilight Zone today.

A lot of good stories:

Shatterday  
Wordplay  
Nightcrawlers  
Wong’s Lost and Found Emporium  
The Shadow Man  
I of Newton  
A Matter of Minutes  
To See the Invisible Man  
Dead Run  
Profile in Silver (features Andrew “Garek” Robinson as JFK  
Shadow Play

Seasons 2 & 3 (third season was syndicated) should be out in March.

Excellent! I loved this show when it came on.

Unfortunately, according to reviews on the [Amazon listing](http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00068NVLQ/qid=1105204868/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/103-4113454-2215062?v=glance&s=dvd), the picture quality isn’t that great. On the plus side, however, the set has commentaries from writers Alan Brennart, Harlan Ellison, Executive Producer/director/writer Phil DeGuere, Wes Craven and many others.

This is true. They didn’t spent a lot of time (if any) cleaning up the original footage. Lots of grain in some parts and just too damned dark in others. Still, it beats my nearly 20-yr old VHS tapes.
