Got m ine from Amazon the day it came out. Happy Day! “Cigarette?” “Yes, it is.” Fun trivia - The number of trash cans that Drebin drives into is equal to the episode number. The final episode’s celebrity death was to be John Belushi, drowning with cement shoes on. The sequence had been filled, but he then died for real, so it was yanked and they killed William Conrad instead. ---

[/QUOTE] Uhh, I was referring to the recent South Park episodes in which Cartman froze himself because he couldn’t wait for the Nintendo Wii and woke up 500 years in the future. I forgot about the fake freezes at the ends of the episodes. My bad for any confusion. ---

They didn’t have a large end-cap display like they do for major releases, I had to look in the general DVD area for it. If you ordered from Amazon, it’s all fine, but although it seems to be an afterthought, it is in the retail stores. ---

“Come back tomorrow, Billy, and be sure to bring three items from your mother’s dresser!” Good to have this on DVD finally, but I wish they’d put more effort into the special features. The commentaries SUCK – all the producers do is laugh at their own jokes and talk about what an awful commentary they’re making. Thank God there’s only two of 'em! And it’s a shame they didn’t put John Belushi’s deleted scene anywhere on the DVD. ---

[/QUOTE] I’ll try it again: According to the [imdb](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000004/bio), the producers attempted to locate the Belushi clip to reintegrate it back into its original episode when Police Squad was rebroadcast in the 1990’s, but they couldn’t locate it and it is presumed lost. ---

The most interesting thing I found watching _The Naked Gun_ films immediately after watching _Police Squad_! is the transformation of Frank Drebin from a serious cop who happens to live in a very literal world to a cop who tries to act serious but ends up bumbling Inspector Clouseau-style. I prefer the series Drebin to the film one (although the films- especially the original- are still very funny).
