Got a phone call at work this morning–we’re pencilled in for a one bedroom in Alexandria! (Satan, FYI–this is the place that hosed us on Saturday. She called me at work this morning all contrite and friendly and shit.) I say “pencilled in” because there’s a bigger 1BR w/den there that may be available, but she won’t know until the 19th. If it is, we have dibs on it, if not, we take this other one. It isn’t the best neighborhood in the area, but hardly the worst, either. It’s right off of VA235 near Mt. Vernon, so has easy access to both US1 and 495. (Heck, it isn’t like we can afford to be choosy; we’re moving in 26 days!) The important thing is-WE WON’T BE HOMELESS! (I also have an apartment locator working for us, so if something better comes up, we haven’t signed a lease yet.) ---

Hey, congrats, Phil! If you’re going to be living in Alexandria, sounds like it’ll be an easy (or at least easier) commute to your work. So when do you need us out-of-shapers to help you lift heavy objects? ---
