# Woot?

Just for completeness, there is a commercial website devoted to gadgets and gizmos called ‘I want one of those dot com’. Quite early in in the history of this particular site, they were smart and savvy enough to notice that ‘I want one of those’ makes a very tasty acronym, IWOOT, and they use ‘IWoot’ and the shorter ‘Woot’ quite a lot as part of their site branding. I think (long time since I checked) that one can even collect or acquire WOOT points.

It seems to me the term “Woot” first appeared somewhere in Zap Comix (late 60s / early 70s).
