I could actually. In fact, I’ve seen it when they are out with a group although of course, I don’t know what happened that I didn’t see - but I also don’t think a a man paying for a woman is necessarily an indication that he’s a higher social class. ---

I’m not sure that “Class” is the best word for it. I think “dominance/submissive roles” is a more accurate depiction. A mistress is usually seen as the submissive partner which is what I think Ali Wong was getting at when she said we have no word for the male equivalent. Kept Man seems to portray this relationship most accurately. This is funny considering a submissive man might well address his dominant lady as “Mistress.” ---

I’d like to note that the Hebrew term for mistress is “_pilegesh_”, which means **concubine**. ---

Yes, that was incorrect. It was Dead Sea Mud. We used to have very good looking young women selling it at temp stalls in malls, even here in South Africa. I never questioned their availability for “extramural activities” though, because I was happily in a long term relationship. ---
