I decided to give Semantle a try and got today’s word in 11. I should retire because it sounds like I will never get better than that. theory (-2.12) run (16.96) trot (16.54) \*\*\*\* (9.20) intuition (7.05) ride (15.47) poop (5.56) warm (9.82) calculus (4.91) fly (16.96) soar (100) \*\*\*\* is a random swear word I threw in to see if it takes swear words. More on topic, what’s the mode of your number of guesses for Wordle? I’m fairly new to the game and have got it in 3 or 4, 11 times each. ---

I gave up after sixty-some guesses, and I’m glad I did. I never would have gotten it. It reminded me that I hate things like trying to guess what words a computer algorithm thinks are semantically related. I went down a path that got me within 17 of the answer, but synonyms of that closest word showed up as β€œcold.” And I never would have made the leap from the increasingly β€œclose” path I was on to the actual answer. ---

I’m over 200 guesses and starting to get pissed. My closest guess is 998/1000 (plummet), I have 9 total over 900 and 27 in the top 1000. Please just tell me the answer. I’ve been at this almost an hour and I have shit to do. ETA: Found the give up button. Yeah, okay, I could have gotten that word I suppose, but I have learned that I hate this kind of game. ---
